Home! or How Drunken Airport Shopping is Good for the Soul...

Hooray!  Back in Seattle!  The weather here is gorgeous and I have my windows in my house open to let in the fresh air.  Which is a lovely change from the sweltering heat and humidity of Destin.  All in all the trip to the beach was a success.  The weather could have been better but we still managed to get in a lot of sun.  It was great to see everyone and to meet the newest addition to the family (Kurry, aka, Carlos when he was in his carrying bag from the Hangover).
The flight home was pretty easy, if entirely too long.  Mobile to Houston.  RUN through the Houston airport.  Then Houston to Denver.  Once I got to Denver I was there for about three hours before the final leg to Seattle.  So, what to do when faced with an excessive amt of time in an airport?  Bar hop!  I stopped at a 'French' place first and grabbed a couple of glasses of wine and some food.  After that I decided to do some exploring and found a fantastic store with fantastic perfumes!  Yay! So after purchasing some fun stuff I discovered wine bar No. 2.  Hooray for more wine!  Anyway, after all of that the flight from Denver to Seattle was pretty easy b/c I actually managed to doze off for a little while.  I have now added very useful information to my 'where to drink on a layover' list in my head.
Vino, Perfume, and Tolstoy make for a good time on a layover...

On the way to Seattle

Touchdown at sunset.
